On April 20th, rain or shine, MN NORML, The Minnesota Marijuana Movement, and SSDP are presenting a big event for everyone to gather at Loring Park, "Chill" together, and listen to some local live music. You know you're going to be "Chillin" that day anyway, why not do it with the rest of the city and hang out with some friendly faces? Every year Boulder CO, Santa Cruz CA, and Vancouver BC have a 420 event. Last... year 10,000 students gathered at Boulder. Luckily you don't have to drive 13 hours for this event, because we're going to have one in our hometown. Last year was Minnesota's first annual 420 gathering at the U of M campus, and it was a success! This year we're doing it again! BIGGER and BETTER! So come early and hang out for a day!

This year we’ll have 6 LIVE BANDS!!! All shows are free

Band Schedule:
1:30 – 2:00 Bad Nasty
2:25 – 3:00 Nice Purse

Bring fun things such as hackey sacks, Frisbees, and blankets. Most importantly, bring KIND VIBES. Let's have a good time :) Feel free to bring baked goods and sandwiches as well.

Over the past few decades with drug education and the war on drugs, it is common today for many U.S. citizens to assume that marijuana was made illegal through some kind of process involving scientific, medical, and government hearings; that it was to protect the citizens from what was determined to be a dangerous drug. Many people believe that this happened after the drug free-for-all in the '60's. When looking back at history and researching the facts, you'll find that the actual reason marijuana became illegal was because of racism and corporate greed.

Do you feel that when you smoke marijuana you're creating a crime? Marijuana is NOT dangerous. It has many benefits and doesn't hurt anyone. MN needs to legalize it. Why do we hide around the back of a building when we go smoke. If you don't feel like you're creating a crime, then don't act like you are.

So everyone come gather and tell all of your friends! BRINGING PARAPHERNALIA MIGHT PUT YOU AT RISK! Encourage to bring wrapped products and fruit instead. DO NOT BRING ANY ILLEGAL DRUGS OR ALCOHOL!
